Description

Daredevil #1 (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM- 9.2 Cream to off-white pages. The origin and first appearance of Daredevil, the last major character to appear during Marvel's first wave of game-changing superhero titles of the 1960s. Though often overshadowed by many of his peers, the Man Without Fear has maintained a steady following since his debut.
Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers provided the Fantastic Four "headshots" for the cover box, and the rest of the cover and the story art were created by the great Bill Everett, in his only contribution to the title
Copies are relatively plentiful in high grade, but there are only 55 on CGC's census in Universal NM- 9.2 or better -- 93 if you include Conserved, Qualified, Signature Series, and Restored grades as well. It is currently one of Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $30,000. CGC census 1/26: 56 in 9.2, 79 higher.
