Detective Comics #6 (DC, 1937) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. The highest-graded Universal grade copy we've offered, and the first complete and unrestored copy we've seen in more than seven years. This pre-Batman issue hit newsstands only 10 months before Action Comics #1 arrived and changed the face of comic books forever. It features a Speed Saunders cover and story art by Craig Flessel, with art by Joe Shuster for the Slam Bradley feature. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates this issue a "7" ("scarce") on its Scarcity Index. CGC notes, "Christine Farrell Complete DC Collection." Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $9,900.
