Detective Comics #18 Billy Wright pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC VF- 7.5 White pages. The cover is a classic in most anyone's book. Creig Flessel is the artist, Fu Manchu the character. Unrestored copies of this issue are tough to come by, and this is the highest-graded one we've ever sold.Batman was nine months away and Superman had been in just three comics when this issue hit the stands. Fu Manchu was actually the star of a feature at this time, and the lineup of good guys included the likes of Slam Bradley (two-fisted sleuth), Speed Saunders (plainclothes cop), Buck Marshall (range-ridin' detective), Bart Regan (spy), and Cosmo ("the phantom of disguise"). A real gem among early DCs. Overstreet 2012 VF 8.0 value = $7,425. CGC census 11/12: 2 in 7.5, 2 higher.
