Captain America Comics #59 (Timely, 1946) CGC NM 9.4 Cream to off-white pages. A superlative copy that outscores the Ohio and Crowley copies on the CGC census. We've encountered only one higher-graded copy so far, and a total of only five other copies with a grade of VF/NM 9.0 or better. The unforgettable origin of Captain America and Bucky is retold. There's also a Human Torch story and a spanking panel. The cover is by Syd Shores, and story art is by Carmine Infantino. CGC notes,"Olympia Collection." Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $7,600.
