The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. Easily the nicest copy of the milestone issue we've offered in nearly two years! Stan Lee and Co. must have liked the feedback from the one-shot that Spidey had a few months earlier in the final issue of Amazing Fantasy. For the premiere issue of the new superhero's own title, the big guns were brought in - the Fantastic Four. Other highlights: Spider-Man's origin is retold, first Fantastic Four crossover, first appearances of John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson, and the Chameleon. And, of course, there's the artwork by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Overstreet 2011 VF/NM 9.0 value = $34,500; NM- 9.2 value = $54,000. CGC census 8/11: 12 in 9.0, 19 higher. From the Edward M.
