Special Edition Comics #1 (Fawcett Publications, 1940) CGC VG+ 4.5 Cream to off-white pages. This is the very first comic book devoted entirely to Captain Marvel, and it's the only time that he ever appeared with a belt buckle. The issue pre-dates Captain Marvel Adventures #1. C. C. Beck provided the cover and interior art that shot the "Big Red Cheese" into comic stardom, like a bullet! Overstreet 2015 VG 4.0 value = $1,622.
