SpongeBob SquarePants "Arrgh!" Mr. Krabs Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 1999). "Don't cry, Mr. Krabs. We'll be your loyal crew!" "You'll stay with me then?" Mr. Krabs convinces his pirate crew to stick it out a little longer in this original production cel from Episode 17's "Arrgh!" of the beloved Nickelodeon series, SpongeBob SquarePants. One of the last Nicktoons to premiere in the 1990s (and the only one of the decade still airing with a total of 15 seasons and counting), this long-running series transitioned away from traditional cel animation after the first season. "Arrgh!" premiered on March 15, 2000 and saw Mr. Krabs become utterly obsessed with SpongeBob's Flying Dutchman's Treasure Hunt board game to the point of planning a real treasure hunt using the game's map. Having been hard on his crew for misreading the compass, Mr. Krabs can be seen ecstatic to hear they'll keep searching with him near the 7:57 timestamp of the segment when viewed online. He has been hand-painted with hand-inked detail to a charming full-figure measuring 3.25" x 5.25" nicely centered on the 12 field cel which is numbered in the lower right. It has been paired with a print background for display purposes to which the cel has adhered. With typical handling and edge wear including the noted adhesion, overall this happy captain is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
