Description
Disney Direct - "The Jungle Book" King Louie Big Figure (Walt Disney, 2002). "I've reached the top, and had to stop, and that's what's botherin' me." The "King of the Swingers" isn't "monkeyin' around" but carries a lot of responsibility on his shoulders is in this limited-edition Big Figure released through Disney Direct! Disney Big Figures debuted in 1989 with a simple release of the "Disney Standard Characters" Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy. However, Disney retail branches expanded the collection to include exclusive and limited-edition figure releases based on popular feature films, issued through The Disney Store, The Disney Catalog, and Disney Parks. The simian leader did not appear in Rudyard Kipling's original literary work, but was an original character created by Walt Disney Studios for the animated feature-length film "The Jungle Book" (1967), "immortalized" by renowned vocalist, singer, and entertainer Louie Prima. Designed by Kevin and Jody, this resin Big Figure was designed by Jody Daily, inspired by a memorable moment when Baloo and Bagheera "bring the house down" with a "swingin'" musical diversion. This unnumbered collectible Big Figure was released through Disney Direct during the fall of 2002, swiftly sold-out and was "retired", and has long since been sought after by fans. Measuring 27.25" x 13" x 11", this large tribute to the "Jungle VIP" is comprised of a figure and a ruin accessory and is in Very Good condition, exhibiting few minor scuffs and wear.Auction Info
