Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). "Whoopee! I'll cut him down to my size." Even Mickey is convinced that no giant will stand a chance while he's on the hunt, but that's because he's too focused on winning the hand of princess Minnie to think about the mortal danger he'll soon find himself in. We'll let him have his moment, though, because he's over the moon and covered in kisses from Minnie in this 12 field animation drawing. The full figure graphite with color pencil drawing is roughly 5.5'' x 4.75'' and appears at about 3:50 in the Burt Gillett and Bill Roberts-directed short Brave Little Tailor as Mickey waves his sewing shears in the air and declares he'll stop the giant that has been terrorizing the kingdom. The short was released on 9/23/1938 and included animation by several future Disney Legends including Fred Moore, Bill Tytla, Les Clark, Ollie Johnston, and Eric Larson and has long been considered one of Mickey's best shorts by fans and industry professionals alike. This drawing, numbered 284 in the lower right, is perfect for fans and collectors who want to remember the humor and charm of the classic short and is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, faint toning, and small erased areas where the pose was corrected.Auction Info
