Cartoon Network 98'' x 36'' Banner Tribute to Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera (Cartoon Network, 2009). Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006) changed animation for the better and undoubtedly left their mark with classics like Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, Jonny Quest, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, and The Smurfs. What started as H-E-B Enterprises quickly became Hanna-Barbera Productions where they would give birth to Saturday morning cartoons. The studio was later acquired by Turner Broadcasting System and Warner Brothers, who used the Hanna-Barbera back catalog to create Cartoon Network. This lot features an enormous banner for Cartoon Network's tribute to this pair of animation legends! The banner was displayed at the Paley Center's 70th anniversary of Hanna-Barbera studio on 8/22/2009 with panelists and exhibits centered around the studio and its legacy. It is absolutely enormous and measures about 98'' x 36'' with "A tribute celebrating William Hanna and Joseph Barbera" across it between the Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera logo.
