Description

The Dognapper Mickey Mouse and Long-Billed Donald Duck Animation Drawing with Rare Pete Color Model Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey and Donald make an appearance as police officers in this classic David Hand-directed short, chasing after the devious dognapper Peg Leg Pete. The first of these 12-field drawings is rendered in graphite and can be found at about 1:03 as the pair watch Pete speed by with Minnie's stolen dog in shock. The second features an exceptionally rare color model drawing of Pete rendered with graphite and color pencil, complete with a few production notes. The first drawing is labeled 4 while the second is marked 80, created for scene 51 and noted as a dupe. The full figure characters measure around 2.75'' x 2.5'' and 2'' x 3.25''. The pages exhibit minor edge and handling wear with light age-related toning. The first has reinforced pegholes. These vintage animation drawings are in Very Good condition overall.
