Description

The Simpsons Pinball Machine by Data East Pinball (Fox, 1990). This Simpsons-themed pinball machine, released by Data East Pinball in 1990, is a rare and nostalgic find for fans of the iconic animated sitcom. Modeled after The Simpsons, the machine captures the show's humor and charm with features like nuclear reactor cooling tower pop bumpers, targets depicting characters and favorite Simpson family foods (like donuts and chocolate ice cream), and bowling-themed targets. Equipped with a Yamaha synthesizer, the machine plays the Simpsons theme song and features a computerized voice system on an OKI sound chip, bringing the characters to life with their original voice actors. Mr. Burns delivers lines like "Smithers, fire that man!" while Bart exclaims, "Don't have a cow, man," and "You blew it, man." Constant chatter from the characters adds to the immersive experience. Measuring approximately 80" tall x 55" x 22", this standard-sized pinball machine was a huge hit in the U.S., helping revive the popularity of pinball in the early 1990s. While in Fair condition, it shows surface wear, scratches, scuffs, dust, and debris consistent with its age. The machine is currently non-functional and sold as-is, requiring service. A true relic from The Simpsons' early days, this pinball machine is a fantastic centerpiece for any game room or Simpsons collection!
