Description
Lazy Jack Storybook Cel and Key Master Background Illustration (Rand McNally, 1963). This Rand McNally Elf Book story is adapted from the old fable "Lazy Jack" with art done animation style. Here's an original hand-inked and hand-painted trimmed cel and background by Frank Hursh. While this isn't from Jay Ward Productions, it is stylistically similar to Jay's Fractured Fairy Tales and Aesop and Son storylines; over the years, originals from this book have been misidentified as from Fractured Fairy Tales. The figures have a combined image size of approximately 3.75" x 3.75". The background is painted with gouache on a trimmed animation background board measuring 9.5" x 9.5". The acetate has two vertical cuts on either side of the figures. Condition is Good.Auction Info
