Description

Toby Tortoise Returns Rabbit Paramedic Animation/Color Model Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). "Are you ready boys?" "Okay, Maxey!" The rabbit paramedics brush off the gurney bed in preparation for Toby Tortoise's inevitable hospitalization during his boxing match with Max Hare. Created for the moment seen at the 5:36 mark of the theatrical short Toby Tortoise Returns, this is a fantastic original animation/color model drawing featuring one of the eager paramedics. This film acts as a sequel to 1935's The Tortoise and the Hare, following a slapstick rematch boxing competition between the two main characters. A great full-figure image of paramedic, this piece is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The rabbit measures a substantial 7" tall, complete with extensive color notes. Numbered 30 in the lower right corner, the drawing shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.
