Description

The Flintstones "No Biz Like Show Biz" Wilma and Betty Layout Drawing Original Art (Hanna-Barbera, 1965). Wilma tries calling Fred, but there's no answer at the Flintstone house, in this original 12 field layout drawing with Betty by longtime H-B staffer, animator Dick Bickenbach (1907 - 1994). "No Biz Like Show Biz" was the initial episode of Season 6 and included the song "Open Up Your Heart (And Let the Sunshine In)," a religious-themed pop song that later inspired "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" from the stage play Hair. A scene of the infants singing this tune was used as the closing credits for this final season of The Flintstones. Naturally, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm becoming singing stars all turned out to be a dream! Wilma and Betty are drawn in graphite within a red-penciled border; approximate figure sizes are 6" tall for Wilma, and 5.5" for Betty. A color print of the scene is included for comparison. The art is matted with an overall size of 17" x 15". The condition of the art is Very Good with minor handling wear and mild age-related toning.
