Description

Two-Gun Mickey Peg Leg Pete and Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). There are gags and thrills galore in the climatic shoot-out between Mickey Mouse and Peg Leg Pete's gang in this exciting Ben Sharpsteen-directed short, which was released on 12/15/1934. Here are two original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from the short. Pete is featured in the first, as he holds upright the "natural bridge" (a tree connecting two plateaus) that Minnie Mouse was trying to cross; the graphite and red pencil image measures approximately 3.25" x 7", and can be seen in the short at the 5:20 mark in online viewings. Pete's drawing is numbered 55 in the lower right corner. The Mickey Mouse drawing, noted as 63, shows up at the 4:36 mark as Mickey and his horse slide down a mountain onto a young tree, bending it in the process. This art is in graphite with nice red, green, and yellow penciling on the tree. Mickey's image is about 2.5" x 2.25". Condition is Very Good with minor handling and mild age-related paper toning.
