Description

Two-Gun Mickey Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). A rare vintage production drawing featuring Mickey "hanging in there" while Bad Pete attempts to catch him. This is from the Ben Sharpsteen-directed short Two-Gun Mickey. In the short, Minnie makes a withdrawal from the bank and Bad Pete sees her leaving with the stash when he decides he will relieve her of the money. Mickey comes to the rescue but as we see in this production drawing - it wasn't easy! The animation team on this short subject included four of "Walt's Nine Old Men"; Les Clark, Ollie Johnston, Eric Larson, and Wolfgang Reitherman along with Disney Legends; Art Babbitt, Hamilton Luske, and Fred Moore. Walt Disney produced the short and provided the voice for Mickey. The drawing was rendered in graphite over red pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. Numbered 133, the drawing is numbered 133. In Very Good condition with age-related toning.
