Description

The Simpsons "Do the Bartman" Production Cel (Fox Studios, 1991). "Everybody in the house do the Bartman... shake it out!" Released in September 1990, a CD titled The Simpsons Sing the Blues featured the song "Do the Bartman" and a year later the music video directed by Brad Bird aired on MTV. Matt Groening once stated that the song was co-written and co-produced by Simpson fan Michael Jackson, but he was not credited because he was under contract to another studio. The voice of Bart, Nancy Cartwright sang and Jackson did background vocals. This is an original hand-painted production cel from the Do The Bartman music video, as Bart hijacks the school pageant with his own rap and moves. From the official video comes this original hand-painted production cel of Bart and three of his homeys bustin' a move to the sound of Lisa's wailing sax; find it online at about the 4:06 mark. The combined painted image of all four measures approximately 7.75" x 4". The background is a print, added for presentation purposes. Cel condition is Fine, with very minor handling.
