Description
The Mad Doctor Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). As happy music plays in the background, Pluto leaps through the bedroom window, greeting his master Mickey with doggie kisses, in the finale of this much-loved David Hand-directed short. It was shown in theaters beginning on 1/21/1933. Here's a fun sequence of three original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from the conclusion of this classic cartoon. In the first drawing, noted in the lower right as 75, Mickey stands up in bed as he sees Pluto about to come through the window; it's drawn in graphite and red pencil, with Mickey's approximate figure size 3" tall, and an overall image area measuring 8" x 3". The second drawing, noted as 75C, follows the first, with Pluto and his doghouse a little further in the window; this graphite and red pencil drawing has an overall image area of 8" x 2.75", and a figure size of 2.75" tall for Mickey. Both drawings are from the 6:22 mark in online viewings. The last drawing is noted as 163, and comes in at the 6:26 mark, as Mickey and his canine pal are together, with an unusual shot of Mickey's teeth. It too is in graphite and red pencil, with an image size of 5.5" x 3.75".
