Description

Russ Heath The Lone Ranger Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-21-84 (New York Times Special Features, 1984). The Lone Ranger and Tonto wrestle the outlaw Diablo into submission in this late-series daily, drawn by legendary DC war artist Russ Heath. Originally launched to ride the momentum of the 1981 film The Legend of the Lone Ranger, this 80s strip has few surviving examples, particularly those that feature the Ranger and Tonto together, along with a fine touch of "good girl" art. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 15" x 4.5". Light toning, dust shadow along bottom edge, missing publisher paste-up, glue residue staining, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
