Shin Megami Tensei: If... - VGA 85+ NM+ Sealed, PS1 Atlus 1994 JPN. This is the only copy of Shin Megami Tensei: If... on VGA's November census. Originally released for the Super Famicom in 1994, this cult favorite entry in Atlus's Shin Megami Tensei series was later enhanced for this PlayStation edition with improved visuals, remastered audio, and a refined interface. Set within a demon-infested high school, it followed a group of students trapped in an alternate reality shaped by human emotion and desire. Shifting the series' focus from global catastrophe to personal consequence, the game explored how individual choices impact morality and survival. It also introduced concepts that inspired the Persona subseries, including a recruitable partner system and a modern-day school setting.
