Description

Greg Martin Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine Sega Genesis Video Game Original Preliminary Box Art (Sega, 1993). This is a piece of preliminary production artwork created for the packaging of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, the classic puzzle game for the Sega Genesis, featuring original pencil work over a photocopied inked layout. Created by renowned illustrator Greg Martin, the piece includes handwritten production notes in the right border. It features Dr. Robotnik, Scratch, Grounder, and the bean-like robots in a chaotic industrial setting, looking close in layout to the final full-color image. The art area measures 10.25" x 7," with a narrow surrounding border-the art paper measures 11" x 8.5," A small piece is missing from the top edge of the sheet, but the illustrated area remains unaffected. There is light handling wear, but overall the piece is in very nice condition.
