Nintendo World Championships 1990 Unused Participation Certificate, Condition: MT - Nintendo (1990). Offered here is an authentic, unused certificate of participation from the legendary 1990 Nintendo World Championships, the first nationwide video game competition in the United States and a landmark moment in gaming history. Printed on cream stock with the bold red Nintendo World Championships logo at center, and preserved in a plexiglass frame, the document reads: "This hereby certifies that [blank] has successfully competed in the 1990 Nintendo World Championships." It bears printed signatures from Nintendo's famed "Gamemaster" Howard Phillips and, in classic Nintendo fashion, Mario himself. Distributed exclusively to competitors during the historic 29-city tour, these certificates were never sold to the public and remain a scarce survivor of one of the most memorialized events in video game culture.Auction Info
