Black Mask #136 April 1930 Married Back Cover (Pro-Distribution) Condition: Apparent VG. This is the first copy we've ever encountered, and this pulp is incredibly rare in any condition. This issue includes "The Glass Key" by Dashiell Hammett, part two of four, and a western cover by J. W. Schlaikjer. Bookery's notes as "uncommon at best". Restoration includes glue and pieces added to spine, back cover married with glue and tape. Spine splits at top and bottom, tape at bottom of spine/covers, writing, indents, and name stamped into back cover. Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition GD value = $115; VG value = $350.
