Folger's Coffee "Coffee Bean" Television Commercial Cel Key Master Setup with Photo Background (c. early 1960s). Folger's Coffee has long relied on television commercials to promote the brand, but they didn't always use "Mrs. Olson" as their spokesperson. The earliest animated ads used a talking mountain, and then a talking coffee cup. Here's a rare original hand-inked and painted talking Coffee Bean standing on a row of instant coffee jars! This is a 12 field setup, with the painted bean and hand-cut photos of jars affixed to cel. The bean measures 1.75" tall. There are a couple of paint flakes that have stuck to the cel beneath, but these are hard to spot without lifting the cel. Overall condition is Very Good.Auction Info
