Description

How to Play Baseball Title Card/Cel Key Master Setup (Walt Disney, 1942). "Baseball, the great American game. The national pastime of millions, both young and old" says the narrator who opens the short. This cartoon, was the first Goofy short to use the "How To" in its title. After releasing The Art of Skiing and The Art of Self Defense, the Goofy shorts moved to the "How To" titles. How to Play Baseball was directed by longtime Goofy shorts director, Mr. Jack Kinney. It was released on 9/4/42 and shown before the Lou Gehrig movie starring Gary Cooper, The Pride of the Yankees. Title lettering is on a 12 field cel, while the baseball is gouache on 12 field, 5-peghole background board. The Key Master title setup comes with the camera instruction and approval sheet. Note: Walt Disney has signed "WALT" under Walt's ok area. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
