Description

Daredevil Comics #1 (Lev Gleason, 1941) CGC NM 9.4 Cream to off-white pages. Because of the unusual incorporation of Hitler's photo into the action on this superhero cover, this has always been considered one of the most important comic books ever. In Overstreet's ranking of the Top 100 Golden Age Comics, it comes in at number 72, but that's only because so many DCs and Timelys are placed ahead of it. Take those two publisher's books out and this issue would rank fifteenth. Regardless, we think the book should be high on any list of superlative comics, and, with this richly-colored Near Mint copy, we rest our case. Overstreet 2002 NM 9.4 value = $14,500.
