Dave McKean Violent Cases Story Pages 2-3 Original Art (Escape Publishing, 1987). This issue kicked off a beautiful (working) partnership! It was the first time that writer Neil Gaiman teamed-up with artist Dave McKean, and the rest is history! They would go on to collaborate many times on titles including Sandman, Black Orchid, and many more. This work was reprinted in the US in 1991 by Tundra Press and Kitchen Sink Press. The two-page spread was created in ink and gouache with some presstype art elements in the tile flooring. The contents of the child's book are a stat paste-up. The two separate pages have a combined image area of approximately 30" x 20". There is an acetate overlay for the left-hand page with part of the title and some paste-up text pieces. Ce numéro a marqué le début d'un beau partenariat entre le scénariste Neil Gaiman et l'artiste Dave McKean. Ils allaient ensuite collaborer à de nombreuses reprises, notamment pour Sandman, Black Orchid, et bien d'autres. Cette œuvre a été réimprimée aux États-Unis en 1991 par Tundra Press et Kitchen Sink Press. Cette double page fut créée à l'encre et à la gouache, avec quelques éléments artistiques de type presse dans le carrelage. Le contenu du livre d'enfant est un collage. Les deux pages séparées ont une surface d'image combinée d'environ 30 x 20 cm. Il y a un volet d'acétate pour la page de gauche avec une partie du titre et quelques morceaux de texte collés. Légèrement terni. En Excellente condition.
