Description

Herr Meets Hare Hermann Göring Production Cel on Master Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1945). In this, the second to last Warner Brothers cartoon to feature characters from WWII, Hermann Göring take in a little R&R in the form of a hunting trip in the Black Forest. There he encounters Bugs Bunny and the hilarity quickly ensues. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Hermann Göring dressed as the Wagner's Viking demigod Siegfried, seen at the 3:32 mark in the short. He stands 6" tall on a 12 field cel which is over a hand-painted Master background from this short. It is painted in gouache on trimmed background board and measures 16.5" x 10". The two together make an incredible one-of-a-kind setup from a Warner Brothers WWII-era favorite. The cel has some minor paint loss and the background, which has been rolled, bears small creases, tape residue and edge wear. Condition for the setup is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
