Description
Beauty and the Beast "Tale as Old as Time" Limited Edition Sericel (Walt Disney, 1997). "Tale as old as time / Song as old as rhyme" Presented here in grand sentimental fashion is a lovely limited edition sericel showcasing characters from Disney's 1991 animated classic, Beauty and the Beast. A sericel is a fine art screen-printed reproduction created from a hand-painted original. This sericel features the distinctive stained-glass window style used in the prologue and final scene of the film, and was limited to a run of 2,500 editions which have been sold out for over 25 years. It features the characters Belle, Beast, Gaston, LeFou, Lumière, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Maurice, and Philippe the horse as well as Beast's castle and magic rose. The piece has been framed under Plexiglas to an overall measure of 21.5" x 27.75" with a pentagonal aperture of 16" x 21.5". The sericel is presented on a lithograph print background for display purposes and features a silver Disney seal in the lower left with the edition size, a Disney Certificate of Authenticity is also included. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
