Description
Garfield's Halloween Adventure Garfield Production Cel (Film Roman, 1985). "Some pirate captain I am. Can't even get a rowboat across a river." Garfield looks gloomy as he laments his bad luck in this scene of the Emmy-winning special Garfield's Halloween Adventure. The cat wears a pirate costume along with his pal Odie as the two set out to collect booty in the form of Halloween candy. Unfortunately, even though the pair look like pirates, they're not really cut out for sailing. They get stranded in the middle of a river when Odie accidentally throws the oars overboard! This image depicts Garfield in his purple pirate hat with a downhearted expression as he leans over the side of the lost rowboat, a moment which can be found at about the 14:24 mark of the special. This original, hand-painted cel features an image of the cat measuring about 5" tall on its 12 field cel. The cel is marked in its lower right corner with G-9, and it has been set atop a color print background from the scene for presentation. The condition of this piece is Very Good, with just minor handling and edge wear.From the Jim Davis Collection.
