Hikaru no Go Hikaru Shindo and Fujiwara-no-Sai Animation Drawing (Pierrot, c. 2001-03). Hikaru no Go tells the story of a young boy who stumbles across a Go board haunted by the spirit of a Go master from the Heian era of Japanese history. This hit anime series dramatically increased the popularity of the ancient game of Go in Japan and elsewhere, particularly among young children. A fantastic original animation drawing from the series, the piece features the titular character Hikaru with the spirit Fujiwara-no-Sai, rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper. The drawing measures a large 9" x 8.5", and it is numbered A7 END in the upper right corner. Minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.
