Description

Dan Spiegle Space Family Robinson: Lost in Space on Space Station One #44 Story Page 8 Original Art (Gold Key/Western Publ., 1975). Johann Wyss' castaway-adventure novel of 1812, Swiss Family Robinson, inspired not only straightforward movie projects (1940 and 1960, among others), but also the SF-takeoff Lost in Space and its attendant funnybook forebears and tangents. The comic containing this page sets a record of sorts for multiple uses of the word space in a single title. Spiegel's high-contrast artwork sets the tone perfectly for the explorers' return to a weirdly transformed Planet Earth. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". In Excellent condition.
