Bernard Krigstein Buccaneers and Pirates of Our Coasts Chapter Head Illustration Original Art (Macmillan Company/Looking Glass Library, 1960). A group of people speak with "The Old Resident" down by the seaside in this illustration for Chapter XXXI of the book by Frank R. Stockton, originally published in 1989 about New World piracy. Ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 4.5". Slight toning, trimmed top edge, marginal notes, whiteout touch-ups, with light spot staining and handling wear.
