Description

Milton Caniff Terry and the Pirates Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-8-41 (News Syndicate Co., 1941). A bright interlude between supporting characters turns into a seemingly romantic clinch in this sequence from a peak period for Caniff's classic military feature -- just months before Terry and the Pirates would gear up for the U.S.' entry into World War II. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20" x 5.5". Excellent condition.
From the Bobby G. Murphy Collection.
