Description
John Buscema Galactus the Devourer #2 Double Page Spread 2-3 Preliminary Original Art (Marvel, 1999). Invisible Woman and the Silver Surfer haul in the shattered remains of an alien craft, now hoisted overhead by the Thing, while the Human Torch fuses repairs and Mr. Fantastic tracks a fast-unfolding mystery: the impending arrival of the alien who staggered from the wreckage. A sweeping double-page spread preliminary from Marvel master John Buscema rendered in graphite on art paper, with an image area of 19.75" x 14.75". The right third of the page is affixed to the main board with tape on the reverse side. Smudging, marginal pinholes, tape residue on top edge, horizontal fold crease across the center, smell piece missing on lower right corner, corner creasing, and moderate handling wear. Signed by Buscema in the top margin. In Very Good condition. Includes a tear sheet of the published comic's cover in which this artwork appeared.More information about John Buscema.
