Mickey's Service Station Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935). Mickey, Donald, and Goofy make their premiere as a comedy team in this classic Ben Sharpsteen-directed short, and they make it something to remember! The trio do their best to fix Pegleg Pete's car before he returns but make things worse in their hurry to avoid the punishment he promised if they fail. Mickey finds himself trapped in the rim of a tire not even three minutes in, furiously trying to tug himself out at about the 2:56 mark. This stunning sequence of three 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings capture him as he appears in that moment, rendered beautifully in graphite with color pencil highlights. The expressive full figure drawings range from about 4.75'' x 3.25'' to 3.25'' x 2.5'' and are noted as 145, 147, and 179 in the lower right corner. All are in Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.Auction Info
