Description
Madagascar Marty Preliminary Model Sheets Group of 4 (DreamWorks, 2005). Here's a rare set of 4 preliminary model sheets that offer a peek into early character development for Marty from the popular DreamWorks computer-animated film Madagascar. Three of these early sheets depict detailed side profile images of Marty emoting with emphasis on his eyes and mouth and a wealth of animator's notes describing how and where the character's face moves as his expressions change; one also features twin skeletal anatomy models. The remaining sheet features 5 three-quarters profiles each with a different facial expression labeled as Puffed Cheeks, Frown, Roar, Smile, and Shriek. All 4 sheets have been rendered in graphite on 16 field animation paper, with Marty's side profile images averaging approximately 6.25" x 9.5" each and the smaller three-quarters profiles averaging about 3.75" x 4.5" each. One of the sheets even bears the date 11-7-01, about three and a half years prior to the film's release. With typical studio handling and edge wear including light corner/edge creasing and small areas of light staining/smudging, overall this set is in Very Good condition.More information about DreamWorks Studios Artist.
