Description

Box Office Bunny Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny Production Cel Setup (Warner Brothers, 1991). After a movie theatre is built on top of Bugs Bunny's rabbit hole, Bugs peeks to see where all the noise is coming from, just to be received by Elmer Fudd asking for a ticket, which naturally, Bugs doesn't have. Then, Daffy sneaks into the theater to find Elmer chasing Bugs, and after some trickery from the rabbit, this chase scene happens right at the 3:03 of the theatrical short Box Office Bunny. Directed by Darrell Van Citters, this short was first shown in theater alongside The Never Ending Story II: The Next Chapter, and it was the first Warner Brothers Bugs Bunny theatrical release since 1964's False Hare, produced to commemorate Bugs' 50th anniversary. The three characters measure about 2" tall on the hand-painted production cel, presented on a printed background, and the printed chairs cut in the foreground. This fantastic cel displays a classic moment in cartoons, showing a chase with these three iconic characters. A WB is displayed in the bottom right corer of the cel, and the lot is accompanied by a Warner Brothers COA. The lot is enclosed in a glass-fronted frame of approximately 19.5" x 16.5" with a matboard aperture of 11.5" x 8.5". With minimal handling wear from production, this lot is in Fine condition. The frame is sold as-is.
