The Lord of the Rings Production Cel with Production Background Group of 2 (Ralph Bakshi, 1978). Seven members of the Fellowship of the Ring are presented here in this jaw-dropping set of two original production cels from Ralph Bakshi's ambitious adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, Boromir, and Gandalf are all featured here, presented on gorgeous original production backgrounds rendered in gouache on background board. Impressive group shots, these rare hand-painted setups are matted with window sizes of 10" x 7.5" and 12" x 8", each with overall mat sizes of 18" x 14". The backgrounds bear the hand-written notations C486 and C286 in the upper right corners. Minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
