Description
The Magilla Gorilla Show Production Bumper Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1963). "How much is that Gorilla in the window?" This series was sponsored by the Ideal Toy Company and premiered on 1/14/64. In addition to Magilla Gorilla, there were cartoon segments featuring Ricochet Rabbit, Punkin' Puss and Mushmouse, and Breezily Bruin. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field production cel of Magilla Gorilla from a sponsor/bumper spot within the show. In broadcasting, a commercial bumper, or break-bumper often shortened to bump, is a brief announcement, usually two to fifteen seconds in length that can contain a voice over, placed between a pause in the program and its commercial break, and vice versa. Programming bumpers include phrases such as, "We'll be right back after these messages" or variations of it. The great 6.5" image of Magilla riding a star.
