Frank Thorne Dr. Guy Bennett Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-24-61 (Lafave Newspaper Features, 1961). Long before he became known as the wild-man wizard-artist of Marvel's Red Sonja books, Thorne was producing Dr. Guy Bennett as a low-key feature in the tradition of Rex Morgan, M.D., or Judge Parker. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19.5" x 6". Slight toning, more pronounced at edges, marginal holes. otherwise, in Excellent condition.From the Personal Collection of Frank Thorne.
