Eric Stanton Tin Hats Wartime Daily Comic Strip Panel Original Art (Bell Syndicate, c. 1940s). Tin Hats, a sarcastic morale-booster feature, is an unusual prelude to the work that would make Stanton notorious -- a long run of midcentury bondage-erotica. Ink and crayon over graphite on Coquille board. Image area, 6.5" x 7.5". There is glue residue where the paste-up punchline is missing. There is an original art correction paste-up that has come loose, but is included. There is glue residue where this was attached.
