Description

Leslie Turner Captain Easy Original Art dated 5-16-67 (NEA, 1967). Fans of the great Roy Crane are automatically drawn to Turner, Crane's lifelong pal and assistant-turned-successor. An acclaimed magazine illustrator in his own right, Turner signed on early as backup artist on Captain Easy. He became the feature's signature creator when Crane departed to develop the World War II-era breakthrough of Buz Sawyer. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16" x 5". Slight toning. Signed and inscribed in lower area and in overall in Excellent condition.
