Bob Montana Archie Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-4-73 (King Features Syndicate, 1973). By 1973, Dan DeCarlo had set the 'House style' for the Archie Comics, based on Bob Montana's original creations. Montana was still doing the art on the Archie comic strip, however. So this is the only way to get his published Archie art from this era. Included on this daily are Miss Beazly, and Mr. Weatherbee. Ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18" x 5.25". Some of the Zipatone has come loose, leaving glue residue. The rest of the Zip is discolored from age. The lightly toned board is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
