Dik Browne Hagar the Horrible Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-22-81 (King Features Syndicate, 1981). Hagar braves land, sea, and all manner of peril on a Viking quest -- not for gold or glory, but to make it home in time for dinner! This hilarious Sunday strip is inscribed to Benson Mortimer Srere, who was serving as Vice President of King Features Syndicate the same year it was released. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 15.25" x 10.25". The page is watercolored after the fact, with toning, warping/rippling across page, marginal abrasions, minor spot staining, whiteout corrections, stat logo paste-up, and handling wear. Inscribed by Browne in the lower margin. In Good condition.
