Edwina Dumm Cap Stubbs and Tippie Daily Comic Strip Inscribed Original Art dated 3-17-64 (George Matthews Adams Service, 1964). A double-birthday celebration highlights this delightful example of Dumm's long-running kids-and-dogs feature. Tippie, the title terrier, has three showcase panels. Dumm's brisk style of drawing is as lively here as it was when she had started Cap Stubbs and Tippie, 'way back in 1918. Inscribed to colleague Bob Murphy. Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board. Image area, approximately 16" x 5". Slight toning and handling wear. Excellent condition.From the Bobby G. Murphy Collection.
