Fantasia "Pastoral Symphony" Melinda Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). The beautiful centaurette Melinda is the focus of this lot in a trimmed 5-peghole animation drawing from the "Pastoral Symphony" segment of Disney's animated masterpiece Fantasia. The centaurettes in this section were designed by Disney Legend Fred Moore (1911 - 1952), so if Melinda reminds you of one of "Freddie's Girls", there's a good reason! Melinda is guided by a group of cherubs to a potential love interest and sparks fly when she spots him. This stunning graphite with color pencil drawing captures her reaction at about the 1:24:01 mark. The full figure centaur is large on the 12.75'' x 12.5'' page, measuring about 6.25'' x 7''. The drawing is noted as 82 in the lower right corner and is in Good to Very Good condition with light age-related toning, some edge and handling wear, and a faint crease.Auction Info
