Description
Mother Goose Goes Hollywood W. C. Fields and Charlie McCarthy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). This animated take on a Mother Goose nursery rhyme stars adversaries W. C. Fields (as Humpty Dumpty) and Charlie McCarthy. This Silly Symphony short was directed by Wilfred Jackson and released on 12/23/38, and it featured caricatures of some of the hottest celebrities of the 1930s in the setting of various nursery rhymes. In these animation drawings which can be seen around the 3:15 minute mark, the two taunt each in classic style. This is a pair of original production drawings in graphite with red and green pencil. W. C. measures 5.25" tall and is numbered 61 in the lower right. Charlie measures 2.75" tall and is numbered 22A in the lower right. Both are on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper and show light handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Silly Symphonies.
