Sal Buscema and Jack Abel The Defenders #12 Story Page 12 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). Valkyrie slashes into a mechanized menace with the Dragonfang blade bestowed by Doctor Strange. As he conjures a shimmering gateway for their escape, they find themselves face to face with the townspeople, their minds ensnared by the spell of Xemnu the Titan. Buscema shapes the page with his masterful layouts, while Jack Abel brings the scene to life with his refined finishes in "The Titan Strikes Back!" Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light toning, discolored tape, production oil staining, tape over page number and "Continued..." paste-ups, production-trimmed edges, blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout corrections, minor creasing in final panel, smudging, and handling wear.
